Andres Alfonzo, partnering with his brother Eduardo Alfonzo, concluded the FGCU spring invite with three consecutive doubles wins by beating LSU, Kentucky and Memphis.

On Friday, Andrew Korinek from LSU defeated the Venezuelan in a tough match that went until the third set. Andres had his first 2016 win in singles on Saturday against Kentucky but dropped a tough match to Nils Ellefsen from Kentucky on Sunday.

The FGCU men’s tennis team finished the invitational tournament with several strong wins in order to get prepared for this coming season, which it starts this next Thursday at 4 p.m.
