Marc-Eddy Norelia was named the Atlantic Sun Conference Men’s Basketball Co-Player of the Week on Monday. Norelia is honored for the third time as the Player of the Week this year. The redshirt junior started the week scoring 25 points and grabbing 12 rebounds as he shot an efficient 7-10 from the floor and made a career-high 11 free throws in 14 attempts in the win over Lipscomb on Thursday. Norelia followed it up with team highs 22 points and seven rebounds on Saturday against Kennesaw State. The 6-8 forward lead the Green and Blue to a pair of victories to move into a tie for 2nd place in the A-Sun. FGCU is 17-12 on the year and 8-5 in the A-Sun, tied with Jacksonville and NJIT.
