AS A REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE AT CREIGHTON (2021)
Gilson came in off the bench in three of the four first matches of the season for the Bluejays in 2021, logging 24 minutes ... After seven minutes on the pitch, Gilson suffered a season ending ankle injury against Oral Roberts on August 29.

AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN AT CREIGHTON (2020)
Gilson saw the pitch in two matches during 2020, playing a combined 17 minutes against Marquette (10) and Butler (7).

AS A FRESHMAN AT CREIGHTON (2019)
Karina used her redshirt option in 2019.

BEFORE COLLEGE
Gilson graduated from Hudson High School, where she earned four varsity letters as a cross country runner for the Raiders and played club soccer for the Maplebrook soccer club.

PERSONAL
The daughter of Eric and Kathryn Gilson, Karina was born in St. Paul, Minn... She has one sibling: Kaitlyn, who is a gymnast at Ohio State ... Gilson is majoring in business management...  Chose to come to FGCU because of the great soccer program and academic opportunities as well as the warm weather
