Coach Deiros:  "Owen was a big-time power hitter at FSW, and we are excited for her return to Southwest Florida to get back to those power numbers. We only get one year with her, so we are looking to take full advantage of her talents."

Bowers is a senior utility player from Hamlet, North Carolina and a Presbyterian transfer. She made five appearances for the Blue Hose last season batting .250. Before Presbyterian, Bowers attended Florida SouthWestern State for three seasons, 2019, 2020 and 2021. In 2021, Bowers held a .427 hitting percentage, a .514 on-base percentage and collected 29 RBIs to help lift the the Bucs to their first-ever National Championship.

At the NJCAA National Tournament, she hit .600 with seven RBIs in five games to earn a spot on the All-Tournament Team. Bowers finished inside the top-5 in program history for career doubles, homers and RBI as FSW. She was selected to the FCSAA All-State First Team, the All-Suncoast Conference Team and also named a CoSIDA Academic All-American.
