As A Junior (2014)
English would toss 4.2 innings of three-hit ball versus FAMU allowing just one run and striking out a career-high eight batters (March 16) ... Made his fourth start of the year in the second game of the double-dip versus USC Upstate and registered his longest outing of the season, tossing seven innings of two hit ball without allowing an earned run. Four relievers cleaned up the final two innings for English to give him his first win of 2014 (March 22) ... Took the ball in game two of the doubleheader versus Stetson and tossed a solid 5.2 innings of six-hit ball, allowing just one run, walking two and striking out four (March 30) ... Came in with the Eagles trailing in the eighth and tossed 1.1 scoreless innings against FAMU, struck out three and picked up his second win of the season (April 2) ... Had arguably the best outing of his career, tossing 7.1 innings of shutout ball, striking out three and giving up six hits before a runner he was responsible for came around to score in the eighth (April 13) ... Took the mound and cruised through 6.0 innings allowing just five hits and giving up one run without striking out a single batter versus UNF. The righty picked up his third win of the season and lowers his ERA to 2.37. Prior to this one, English had the third best ERA in the A-Sun at 2.49 (April 19) ... Was clutch when his team needed him the most as he did not allow a hit until the 7th inning versus Jacksonville, and his only two hits allowed on the evening both careened off FGCU defenders (May 23)
As A Sophomore (2013)
Made 17 appearances on the season, all coming out of the bullpen ... tallied a 1-2 record and two saves with a 2.43 ERA in 29.2 innings of work ... fanned 33 batters on the season and held oppnents to a team-low .170 batting average ... struck out the side to end the ninth in the 7-0 shutout of Bowling Green (Mar. 6) ... provided three scoreless innings while allowing just two hits and striking out six of the 12 batters he faced against FAU (April 10) ... earned his first career victory after four innings of relief work against Northern Kentucky (April 27), surrendering one hit and one walk while striking out five opposing hitters ... went the final 2.1 scoreless innings against Jacksonville (May 4), allowing two hits and recording two strikeouts in his first career save ... recorded his second save of the year with 2.0 scoreless innnings at North Florida (May 12), surrendering one hit and tallying one strikeout ... struck out two batters in two scoreless innings of relief in game two of the final regular season series against Stetson (May 17).
