FORT MYERS, Fla. - Charlene Lamb has been named the Atlantic Sun Conference Women's Golfer of the Week, the conference announced Thursday.

The freshman opened the Lady Paladin Invitational, hosted by Furman University at the Furman University Golf Course, with a 2-under 70 to tie for sixth after round one. She followed with rounds of 74 and 74 to finish the tournament at 2-over 218, tying for 22nd overall.

Lamb was steady throughout the week, highlighted by a bogey-free front nine of 1-under 34 in the opening round. She birdied three of her final nine holes in round one to close with a 1-under 36, then added six more birdies over the final two rounds. She finished the tournament with 10 birdies across the three rounds, tied for the 20th most in the field, and tied for 27th most pars in the field with 33.

"It was a good week for Charlene as she continues to put the work in," said head coach Shannon Sykora.

The honor marks Lamb's second ASUN Golfer of the Week recognition of the season, after also earning the award following FGCU's season-opening trip to Japan.
