GREENVILLE, S.C. – Florida Gulf Coast's women's golf team sits eighth through 36 holes of the Lady Paladin Invitational at Furman University Golf Course. The Eagles posted a 6-over 294 in round two for a 36-hole total of 8-over 584.

FGCU trails leader Alabama by 18 shots and sits one back of seventh-place Minnesota. Round three concludes the tournament Sunday, Sept. 20 at 9 a.m.

Charlene Lamb moved into a tie for 16th after a 2-over 74 in round two. She opened with three front-nine bogeys for a 3-over 38, then birdied Nos. 11 and 15 on the back nine to close with a 1-under 36. Lamb sits at 144 (E) through 36 holes.

Sarah Hyten is tied for 21st after carding a 4-over 76. She bogeyed the par-4 seventh for a 1-over 36 on the front, then birdied the par-5 13th but couldn't offset four late bogeys, closing with a 3-over 40 on the back. Hyten stands at 146 (+2) for the tournament.

Sydney Deal turned in the low round of the day for the Eagles, carding a 1-under 71. She birdied three of her final four holes on the front, offsetting an early bogey, for a 2-under 33, then added a birdie at 11 before two late bogeys pushed her to a 1-over 38 coming home. Deal is tied for 33rd at 148 (+4).

Annie Yost is tied for 30th after a 1-over 73. She birdied Nos. 5 and 8 but gave two strokes back with bogeys at 2, 4 and 9 for a 1-over 36 on the front, then played the back nine even, with a birdie at 13 canceled out by a bogey at 16. Yost sits at 147 (+3) through two rounds.

Gia Culler-Guerra is tied for 53rd after a 5-over 77, playing the front nine at 1-over 36 before four back-nine bogeys led to a 4-over 41 coming home. She's at 153 (+9) for the tournament. Competing as an individual, junior
Ann Burel is tied for 60th after a 6-over 78, sitting at 158 (+14).

As a team, FGCU posted the second-most pars in the field through two rounds (121) and the fourth-fewest bogeys. Lamb is tied for 25th most birdies in the field with six. Yost, Deal and Lamb are tied for second-most pars in the field with 25 apiece, Hyten is tied for 15th most with 24, and Culler-Guerra is tied for 28th most with 22.
