ORLANDO – Addison Torres registered her third consecutive top 10 finish in the 5K as she finished ninth in the race at the UCF Knights Invite on Friday night in Orlando.
Torres, a sophomore, entered the race after having finished eighth at the Tampa Spartans Classic and sixth at the UCF Black & Gold Challenge over the previous two weeks, registered a ninth-place finish Friday night after running 18:14.16.
Tess Shultz was just a few seconds shy of a personal-best time in the 5K, running 18:28.00 to place 15
th while
Sofia Torres' time of 18:33.56 marked a new personal record mark by eight seconds for the junior.
Nekhi Perry led the men with a time of 15:53.62 to finish 17
th, and
Brayden Lowe-Massi's time of 15:54.57 was just four seconds shy of a spring season-best.
The Eagles continue their spring schedule on Friday, Apr. 3 as they head to Gainesville for the Florida Relays.
