FORT MYERS, Fla. - Leonie Wulfers was named the Atlantic Sun Conference Women's Golfer of the Week, the conference announced Thursday.
Wulfers earned the honor after capturing the individual championship at the Momentum Transportation UNF Collegiate on Tuesday, securing her first collegiate victory and leading FGCU throughout the event.
The senior set the tone early, posting rounds of 71 (-1) and 69 (-3) to move to 4-under overall and into first place individually after two rounds. Wulfers carried a six-stroke lead into the final round while pacing the field with 10 birdies through 36 holes. After opening with a composed first round, she delivered the tournament's best single-round performance in round two, pairing aggressive scoring opportunities with steady ball-striking.
Wulfers completed her standout week by finishing at 3-under (213) to clinch the title. Her victory marked FGCU's first individual tournament win since teammate Lousiane Gauthier captured the 2025 ASUN individual championship. Wulfers led the field with 15 birdies, tied for the ninth-fewest bogeys, and finished tied for the fewest double-plus bogeys across the tournament.
The Green and Blue will next compete at the Gators Invitational in Gainesville, Fla., hosted by Florida on March 6-8 at the Mark Bostick Golf Course.
