JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Florida Gulf Coast University women's golf team completed the first two rounds of the Momentum Transportation UNF Collegiate on Monday afternoon at Jacksonville Golf & Country Club, sitting in second place at 16-over par. The Eagles remain within one shot of No. 29 Oklahoma State heading into the final round Tuesday.
Leonie Wulfers delivered a standout performance through two rounds, carding a 71 and 69 to sit at 4-under and in first place individually with a six-stroke lead heading into the final round.
Amelie Alcantara followed in a tie for seventh after rounds of 73 and 76, using steady play to remain near the top of the leaderboard, while
Sydney Deal sits tied for 13th after posting scores of 75 and 76.
Anne Yost added rounds of 74 and 78 to move into a tie for 18th, highlighted by consistent par production across both rounds.
Islay Benoit opened with a 79 in the first round, but did not compete in the second round.

The senior holds a six-stroke lead entering the final round and leads the field with 10 birdies through two rounds. Wulfers opened with a composed first round before delivering the tournament's best single-round performance, combining aggressive scoring with consistent ball-striking.
Amelie Alcantara sits tied for seventh after rounds of 73 (+1) and 76 (+4) to reach 5-over overall. Alcantara's opening round featured steady play and key birdies to keep the Eagles near the top of the leaderboard, while her second round continued to provide stability. She ranks tied for seventh in the field with 25 pars through two rounds.
Sydney Deal is tied for 13th following rounds of 75 (+3) and 76 (+4) to sit at 7-over overall. Deal delivered a solid first round built on consistency and timely scoring opportunities before following with another steady effort in round two that helped maintain FGCU's position near the top of the standings.
Anne Yost is tied for 18th after opening with a 74 (+2) and carding a 78 (+6) in the second round to sit at 8-over overall. Yost's first round showcased strong approach play and momentum on the front nine, and she battled throughout the second round while continuing to contribute important pars. She is tied for 13th in the field with 23 pars through two rounds.
Islay Benoit recorded a 79 (+7) in the opening round, but did not compete in the second round.
As a team, FGCU's steady play has been a key storyline. The Eagles are tied for second in the field with 21 birdies through two rounds, lead the tournament with 115 pars, and are tied for the fewest bogeys and double bogeys. That efficiency has kept FGCU firmly in the title hunt, sitting just one stroke off the lead heading into the final day.

The Eagles will look to build on that momentum Tuesday as they attempt to chase down No. 29 Oklahoma State for the team championship, while Wulfers aims to protect her individual lead and capture the individual title.
