Florida Gulf Coast University women's tennis delivered a 4-3 victory over Austin Peay Sunday afternoon for Senior Day.

Isabella Colmenares, Francisca Vergara, Gabriela Macias and Amelia Kopel were all honored for their contributions to the Green & Blue  before the start of the match.

The Eagles (12-8, 6-3 ASUN) started the day winning the doubles point as Nora Svensson and Paloma Goldsmith won 6-2 on court No. 2 before Anjali Kotecha and Francisca Vergara clinched the doubles point on court No. 3 with a 7-5 victory.

In singles, the Governors (8-13, 4-5 ASUN) were able to tie the match as Ashley Matz fell 6-3, 6-3 on court No. 1. APSU then gained a 2-1 advantage when Paloma Goldsmith dropped her match on court No. 6 with 6-3, 6-3 scores.

The Eagles responded as Anjali Kotecha won 6-3, 6-4 on court No. 3 and Nora Svensson delivered 7-6 (7-5), 6-2 scores on No. 4  to regain the lead, 3-2.

Senior Francisca Vergara would definitely remember her last home match as a senior, as she clinched the match on court No. 5 with a 6-3, 7-5 victory on No. 5.

The Eagles will now head to Jacksonville for the Atlantic Sun Conference championship from April 17-19.
