FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast University women's tennis earned its first Atlantic Sun Conference victory for the season by delivering a 4-3 victory over Bellarmine Unversity Thursday at the FGCU Tennis Complex.
This was the Green and Blue's fourth win over the Knights and have never dropped a match against Bellarmine.

The Eagles started the day by winning the doubles point.
Isabella Colmenares and
Ashley Matz won 6-4 on court No. 1 before
Anjali Kotecha and
Francisca Vergara clinched the doubles point on court No. 3 with a 6-4 showing.
In singles, Bellarmine got on the board as Vergara retired on court No. 4. Colmenares quickly gave the Eagles the lead again, winning 6-1, 6-1 on court No. 1. Kotecha followed along and won with the exact score as Colmenares but on court No. 2.
Goldsmith then clinched the match for FGCU with a convincing 6-2, 6-2 win on court No. 6.
The Eagles will remain home and welcome 2024 ASUN Tournament Champion Stetson University (8-3) Tuesday at 10 a.m.
