Izzy Ackley set the school record in the 50 back with a time of 23.78 as part of the Atlantic Sun Conference Champion 200 medley relay team as Florida Gulf Coast University swimming and diving sits at second with 198 points after day one at the 2025 ASUN swimming and diving championship.
The Eagles sit 40 points behind Liberty after the first day. FGCU had the second most finalists on the day with 15 finalists (10 A, five B) behind Liberty's 17 finalists.
Emma Bjoernoldt started the finals session with the first podium finish on the night for the Green and Blue when she took home a silver medal in the 500 free (4:53.87).
The 200 IM saw another podium placing for the Eagles with
Cassie Bauer touching the wall at 2:00.27 to place third in the event.
Over on the diving boards,
Bailey Betzer racked up another top finish, scoring 2:55.65 en route to a third place finish before the 200 medley relay team won their event.
The 2025 ASUN Championship continues on Thursday.
