Andueza Makes Program History at NCAA Zone B Diving Championships

ATLANTA, Ga. - The Florida Gulf Coast University divers Alexandra Andueza and Bella Pfeil wrapped up competition at the NCAA Zone B Diving Championships, held March 8-10 in Atlanta, Ga., with Andueza making program history by advancing to the platform finals.

Andueza delivered a strong performance throughout the meet, highlighted by her showing on the platform. The junior scored 209.20 in the qualifying round to place 17th and earn a spot in the finals, marking the first time in program history that an FGCU diver has advanced to a finals round at the NCAA Zone Diving Championships. She went on to finish 18th overall in the platform competition with a combined score of 417.05.

The Eagles opened the meet on the 1-meter board, where Andueza led the way with a 20th-place finish and a score of 252.00. Bella Pfeil also competed in the event, placing 44th with a score of 186.95.

Andueza also represented FGCU in the 3-meter competition, finishing 28th overall with a score of 241.25.

With the conclusion of the NCAA Zone B Diving Championships, the Florida Gulf Coast women's swimming and diving team also closes the book on its 2025-26 season and will now set its sights on the 2026-27 campaign.
