FORT MYERS, Fla. - The Florida Gulf Coast University swimming program will once again host its highly anticipated Eagle Swim Camps this summer, offering a premier training experience for swimmers of all levels in the heart of Southwest Florida.
Eagle Swim Camps provide one of the most unique training environments in the country, highlighted by direct interaction and instruction from Olympic athletes. Hosted on FGCU's campus in sunny Fort Myers, campers will train in a state-of-the-art Olympic-sized pool while also gaining access to Lake Como, the home of USA Swimming's Open Water National Championships, for a well-rounded and elite-level experience.
The camps offer both day and overnight options, giving participants flexibility based on their needs. All campers will receive a free camp t-shirt, enjoy meals on campus, and have a once-in-a-lifetime experience interacting with Olympic medalists.
FGCU's head coach
Dave Rollins will guide campers throughout the sessions alongside an accomplished group of guest coaches. The staff includes Mike Ardito (Siena College), Maggie Davenport (head coach at Siena College), KT Kustriz (former standout swimmer at Denison University), and Ned Moriarty (former NCAA Division II national championship coach at the University of Indianapolis).
A variety of camp options are available throughout June, each featuring special guest instructors from the highest levels of the sport:
The Technique Camp, scheduled for June 11-14 and open to ages 8-18, will feature Olympic gold medalist Garrett Weber-Gale, focusing on development and foundational skills.
Eagle Elite Training I will take place June 15-18 for swimmers ages 12-18 and will include special guest Rowdy Gaines, widely known as the "Voice of Swimming." An extended option, Eagle Elite Training I + USA Swim Meet (June 15-21), is also available for registered USA Swimming members.
Eagle Elite Training II is set for June 22-25 for ages 12-18 and will feature Olympic gold medalist Breeja Larson. Swimmers can also participate in the Eagle Elite Training II + USA Swim Meet option (June 19-25), which is open to registered USA Swimming members.
With world-class coaching, elite facilities, and a dynamic camp experience, Eagle Swim Camps continue to be a destination for swimmers looking to elevate their performance and train alongside some of the sport's most accomplished figures.
