FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast University Director of Athletics Colin Hargis has announced a contract extension for Head Women's Golf Coach Shannon Sykora.

Sykora has signed a three-year extension. Under Sykora's leadership, the Eagles won their first Atlantic Sun Conference Championship, advanced to an NCAA Regional for the first time and had the school's first-ever NCAA Championship individual qualifier in 2024-25. Sykora was named ASUN Coach of the Year last season as well. 

"We are thrilled to extend the contract of Shannon Sykora," Hargis said. "Sykora demonstrates incredible leadership, dedication to student-athlete development, and commitment to FGCU's values, which makes him integral to our continued success."
