ORLANDO, Fla. - The Eagles return to action Jan. 25–27, traveling to Orlando to compete in the UCF Challenge Presented by PDI at Eagle Creek Golf Course. The three-day tournament opens the Eagles' spring schedule and brings together a strong field from across the country.

Representing FGCU will be Amelie Alcantara, Leonie Wulfers, Islay Benoit, Sydney Deal and Anne Yost. The tournament will be contested on the par-72, 6,392-yard Eagle Creek Golf Course, an 18-hole layout that will test the field with length off the tee and precise approach play.

The Eagles will be joined by a competitive lineup that includes Baylor, South Alabama, North Carolina–Charlotte, Kent State, Old Dominion, Penn State, East Carolina, Northern Illinois, Abilene Christian, South Florida, Nebraska-Lincoln, Auburn, Mississippi State, North Florida and tournament host Central Florida.

FGCU last competed at the Route 66 Invitational Honoring Dale McNamara in Tulsa, Oklahoma, its final outing of the fall season. Deal paced the Eagles with an 11th-place finish at 2-over, tying for the most birdies in the field with 15 across three rounds. Alcantara finished 20th at 5-over with 10 birdies, while Benoit and Yost each placed 42nd at 12-over. Wulfers most recently competed at the Pat Bradley Invitational, finishing 50th with three birdies over three rounds.

Individually, the Eagles bring proven consistency into the spring. Deal led FGCU during the fall with a 73.4 scoring average and two top-25 finishes. Alcantara and Yost each posted a 73.9 average, with Alcantara recording two top-25 finishes and Yost adding one. Benoit closed the fall at 74.3 with a top-25 result, and Wulfers finished the fall season with a 76.2 scoring average and one top-25 finish.

Following the UCF Challenge, the Eagles will continue their spring schedule at the Momentum Transportation UNF Collegiate, hosted by North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida, on Feb. 23–24.
