FORT MYERS, Fla. - After the week's festivities, the Green Team beat the Blue Team by 2.3 points, 732.6-730.3, after winning the belly flop competition to conclude the meet.
The Green Team came out first for the belly flop contest, exiting the locker room to a custom song sang to the tune of "Let It Go" from Frozen. As the team poured out, they revealed their orange-painted faces and hair to mimic head coach
Dave Rollins. The presentation culminated when
Nadia Helm got on to the starting block and dove belly-first into the pool.
The Blue Team was next. They came out themed around Stitch from Lilo and Stitch. At the end of the team's exit,
Izzy Ackley emerged from the locker on top of the shoulders of her teammates. Ackley was lowered to the ground and with her team huddled behind chanting, "Ohana means family!" With that, Ackley performed her belly flop off the starting block.
Swimmers and divers got to experience the other side's trials as the swimmers did synchronized diving off the 1-meter and the divers did a 100 free relay.
