FORT MYERS, Fla. - Florida Gulf Coast University swimming and diving was named as a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team for the 2024 spring semester, the CSCAA announced. Teams must have at least a 3.0 GPA to earn the honor. The Green and Blue had a semester GPA of 3.74.

"It is a full team award as every member of our program dedicates themselves to be their best, in the pool, on the boards and in the classroom. Receiving this honor is the cherry on top of the record setting year we had! Thank you to our fantastic support team in the HARC and on campus, who helped make this possible."
The 3.74 GPA is the highest of any Division One swimming and diving program from Florida and ranks in the top 25 in the country for division one women's programs.The average GPA for a Division One women's team honored for this award is 3.58. FGCU swimming and diving has the highest GPA from a program from Florida with a minimum of 25 student-athletes regardless of division.
The spring semester GPA adds to an impressive academic year for the FGCU swimming and diving team. During the fall semester, the Eagles were named to the CSCAA Scholar All-America Team for the 2023 fall semester. Individually
Emma Hixenbaugh was entered into the FGCU Hall of Fame and earned the Eagle Scholar Athlete award.Â
The Atlantic Sun was named a Scholar All-America Conference with every team making the list. The Green and Blue ranked third among ASUN schools 0.03 behind the first and second place teams.
722 teams from 417 institutions were named to the Scholar All-America Team for the Spring 2024 semester. These teams represent a total of 17,162 student-athletes.
