Florida Gulf Coast University men's golf completed day two of the Schenkel Invitational Saturday in Statesboro, Georgia.
FGCU entered the day tied for fourth on the team leaderboard and ended the day in ninth place. The third and final round of the three-day tournament is scheduled for Sunday.
No. 17 Florida leads the 14-team field at 22-under. FGCU turned in a 287 during Saturday's second round and now sits at six under as a team. The Eagles are tied for third overall in made pars, matching Wisconsin with 136.
Joseph Sullivan signed his 14th par or better scorecard Saturday, pacing the FGCU starting five into a tie for 12th on the player leaderboard. Sullivan (-5) sank four birdies on the back nine en route to a four-under 68. Eight of his 12 birdies thus far have occurred on the back nine.
Matt Millar (-1) and Brody Stevenson (-1) are tied for 35th at one-under. Millar and Sullivan are the only two Eagles to produce back-to-back under-par efforts in Statesboro. Millar shot an even-par 72 Saturday.
At 10-under, Florida's Parker Bell sits all alone atop the player leaderboard. FGCU tees off Sunday's final round beginning at 8:30 a.m.
