Jordan Durocher secured a B cut in the 400 IM, the third of the Phill Hansel Invitational in Houston, Texas for Florida Gulf Coast University swimming and diving. The Eagles are in fifth place with 523 points after Thursday.
Eagles divers performed exceptionally well with three qualifying for the B Final on the 3-meter.
Rylie Darkatsh,
Kaylin Olson, and
Bella Pfeil qualified with scores of 233.95, 229.70, and 213.30, respectively.
Libby Russum started the finals with a ninth place finish in the 100 fly, posting a time of 54.84. Her time was the sixth fastest in the afternoon session.
Cassie Bauer continued the stellar start to her freshman campaign with a seventh place finish in the 100 breast (1:03.27).
Ella Smith joined Bauer in the top 15 in the event with a 14th place finish at 1:03.62.
In the 100 back,
Izzy Ackley posted a third place finish with a time of 53.18. All three of her times this meet in the event were B cut times.
Emma Bjoernholdt rounded out the top finishes for the Eagles, placing 12th in the 200 free, touching at 1:50.63.
The Phill Hansel Invitational will conclude on Friday.
