FORT MYERS, Fla. - Florida Gulf Coast Univerity men's soccer will host two teams this week starting with Keiser on Wednesday followed by an Atlantic Sun Conference tilt against UNF on Saturday. Both matches start at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the link above. The UNF match will be streamed on ESPN+.
The Eagles played one match last week on the road against Stetson, falling 2-0.
Cao Chaves was an offensive force with four shots, two on goal while persistently applying the offensive pressure. FGCU currently sits on three points in ASUN play in the sixth and final spot to qualify for the postseason.
UNF is coming off an ASUN win over Jacksonville. Both the Osprey and the Eagles have played Jacksonville and Stetson this year in conference play with each team beating Jacksonville and losing to Stetson. UNF was slated to finish last in the conference this year.
The Keiser Seahawks are an NAIA school that hold a 5-1-1 record this season. The Seahwaks are the No. 17 ranked NAIA men's soccer team this season and have come off a win over the No. 1 ranked NAIA team. Recent form has been good for Keiser, having only allowed one goal in the previous 491 minutes and 15 seconds of game time, outscoring opponents 17-1 in their previous five matches. The Seahwks are currently unbeaten when playing in Florida.
Following this week, the Eagles return to the road to face Bellarmine.
