LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. - Florida Gulf Coast University women's golf ended day two of the Pat Bradley Invitational in fifth place with round three to come Monday.
"We struggled today, but we can come back tomorrow," head coach Shannon Sykora said.
While Miami is running away with the team championship, the Eagles sit within seven strokes of third place and just one stroke out of fourth. Florida International University edged FGCU by a stroke in the round to take the fourth position on the grid.
Posie Farrelly paced the Eagles Sunday with a two-over round of 74. Her round included a front nine of 35 with birdies on both of the par-5 holes.
Lousiane Gauthier and Grace Rigby-Walden each had rounds of 76 for the Eagles. Amelie Alcantara carded a round of 77 to sit in solo 20th, the best spot on the individual leaderboard for the Eagles..
Playing as an individual, Anna Claire Bridge also had a round of 76 Sunday.
The third and final round of the tournament at the Cypress Links at the Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club is set for Monday..
