ATHENS, Ga. - The Florida Gulf Coast University women's golf team wrapped up play at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic on Monday afternoon, finishing fifth as a team at 24-over at the UGA Golf Course. FGCU turned in a balanced effort across all three rounds, using consistent play throughout the lineup to earn a fifth-place finish.
FGCU was led by
Amelie Alcantara, who finished tied for 11th at 3-over, pacing the Eagles with 11 birdies.
Leonie Wulfers followed closely in 13th at 4-over, highlighted by a steady tournament that included 38 pars, tied for the fourth-most in the field.
Islay Benoit placed tied for 34th at 10-over with consistent play throughout, while
Sydney Deal finished tied for 42nd at 11-over and recorded 37 pars, tied for seventh-most.
Lousiane Gauthier rounded out the lineup tied for 47th at 12-over, highlighted by an even-par final round that helped her climb 14 spots on the leaderboard.

She finished tied for the sixth-most birdies in the field with 11, continuing her strong scoring presence throughout the week.
Leonie Wulfers delivered another consistent showing, placing 13th at 4-over with rounds of 75-71-74. In the final round, Wulfers shot a 2-over 74, leaning on her steady play and minimizing mistakes. She totaled 38 pars for the tournament, tied for the fourth-most in the field, highlighting her consistency across all three rounds.
Islay Benoit finished tied for 34th at 10-over after rounds of 78-73-75. Benoit posted a 3-over 75 in the final round, recording a composed 1-over back nine to close her tournament. She tallied 36 pars over the three rounds, tied for 12th-most in the field.
Sydney Deal placed tied for 42nd at 11-over with rounds of 79-73-75. Deal finished with a 3-over 75 on Monday, showing resilience after her opening round and settling into a consistent rhythm over the final two rounds. She recorded 37 pars during the event, tied for the seventh-most among the field.
Lousiane Gauthier rounded out the lineup tied for 47th at 12-over with rounds of 78-78-72. Gauthier delivered the Eagles' best round of the day, firing an even-par 72 in the final round while climbing 14 spots on the leaderboard. Her strong finish included multiple birdies and steady play throughout, bringing her tournament total to seven birdies, tied for 19th-most in the field.
As a team, FGCU recorded 170 pars, the fifth-most in the tournament, along with 31 birdies, ranking eighth in the field. The Eagles relied on steady play throughout the event to secure a top-five finish.

With the conclusion of the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic, the Eagles wrap up their regular season and now turn their focus to the ASUN Championship, set for April 17-19 in Dothan, Ala.
