JUPITER, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast University women's golf finished in fourth Tuesday to wrap up the Jupiter Women's Invitational.
"We had some good scores, but we need to be more consistent," head coach Shannon Sykora said.
Tournament host Florida Atlantic took home both the team and individual title. FAU won the tournament title by nine strokes over second-place Western Carolina. Clemence Cadeac's comfortably ran away with the individual title at nine-under-par, winning by 10 strokes.
Two Eagles placed top 10 on the player leaderboard as Amelie Alcantara and Posie Farrelly paced the FGCU starting five, tying for seventh.
Farrelly produced a final-round 70, and opened the tournament with a team-low 69. Alcantara turned in a 72 to enter the clubhouse Tuesday at six-over par for the event.
Another pair of Eagles finished top 20. Lousiane Gauthier finished 16th, and Leonie Wulfers closed tied for 19th.
Gauthier, Wulfers and Alcantara each sank 37 or more pars. As a team, FGCU produced the second-most pars of any team at the tournament with 174. FGCU was also one of only two teams with a combined under-par score on the par-five holes.
