KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Freshman
Melissa Novak cracked inside the top-25 on the 3m dive with a final score of 257.50 Tuesday afternoon on day two of the NCAA Zones Championships inside the Allan Jones Aquatic Center.
With the score,
Novak (Frederick, Md./Oakdale HS) turned in a 24th-place finish, the highest any Eagle has ever placed at the NCAA Zones in program history.
Megan Wakefield (Guelph, Ontario, Canada/Centennial CVI) rounded out the scoring coming in at 37th with a final mark of 185.50.

HEAD COACH DAVE ROLLINS
Second-year head coach
Dave Rollins became the program's second head coach in program history on Sept. 1, 2016. In his second season, Rollins has guided FGCU to back-to-back CCSA titles, as well as the program's fourth-straight championship and ninth in 10 seasons. In addition, he has been awarded CCSA Coach of the Year in each of his two seasons at the helm. Most recently the associate head men's swimming coach at The Ohio State University, Rollins brings 10 years of coaching experience at the club, high school, and collegiate levels. A standout collegiate athlete in his own right, Rollins was a nine-time NCAA All-American and national champion as a member of the University of Arizona swimming & diving team from 2002-06.
