GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Despite no new qualifying times on the second day of the Last Chance Meet, FGCU will look to finish strong heading into the final day on Saturday.
A trio of FGCU swimmers in Cassidy Fry, Madison Jean and Rebecca Moynihan all competed in Friday's events.

In the 50 free, Moynihan (Palmerston North, New Zealand/Waiopehu College) clocked in a finals time of 23.10 while Fry (Oakwood, Ohio/Oakwood HS) touched out in 23.47 as the duo finished third and fourth, respectively. Meanwhile Jean (Parrish, Fla./Lakewood Ranch HS) came in sixth, turning in a time of 24.08

Preliminary events will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, with final events taking place at 5 p.m. in the Stephen C. O'Connell Center.

HEAD COACH DAVE ROLLINS
Second-year head coach Dave Rollins became the program's second head coach in program history on Sept. 1, 2016. In his second season, A two-time CCSA Coach of the Year, Rollins has guided FGCU to back-to-back CCSA titles, as well as the program's fourth-straight championship and ninth in 10 seasons. Most recently the associate head men's swimming coach at The Ohio State University, Rollins brings 10 years of coaching experience at the club, high school and collegiate levels. A standout collegiate athlete in his own right, Rollins was a nine-time NCAA All-American and national champion as a member of the University of Arizona swimming & diving team from 2002-06.
