As a Sophomore (2020-21)
Dove in two meets for the Eagles...  Finished fifth in the 3m and sixth in the 1m against Miami...  Recorded personal-bests in the 1m (267.30) and 3m (272.30), finishing eighth and sixth, respectively at the Eagle Invitational.

As a Freshman (2019-20)
Advanced to a scoring final on both the 1m and 3m boards at the 2020 CCSA Conference Championships … Placed sixth overall in the 1m event with a final score of 253.05 … Received a 243.40 on the 3m board, good for seventh place overall and setting a new personal best … Notched her personal best in the 1m event during the meet against Vanderbilt (Oct. 25), where she scored a 260.93.

High School
Attended Winter Park High School, where she dove for coach Terry Horner … Also competed with the Orlando Dive Academy, coached by Jaq Horner … Served as captain of the diving team … Earned Most Improved Diver accolades … Was named Most Valuable Diver … Received scholar-athlete recognition.

Born March 28 … Daughter of Debra Schmidt and Mark Busse … Has one sister, Amanda … Chose FGCU because of the size of the school and the beautiful campus …  Favorite sport moment was attending the SEC Championship and watching divers from UF and LSU score perfect 10s throughout the meet … Favorite athlete is Alex McMurty … Loves to watch gymnastics … Favorite sports movie is “Stick It” … Favorite book is “Man’s Search for Meaning” … Loves to try new things and is very adventurous … Biggest accomplishment in life so far has been making it to college and becoming a student-athlete … Chose FGCU over FAU, UF and UWF … Aspires to be a pediatric orthopedic ... Majoring in biology.
