Will McIntire

Will McIntire joined the Eagles' staff in April of 2025 as an assistant coach, working with the program's forwards.

McIntire came to FGCU from Rutgers, where he served as director of scouting and technology. Prior to Rutgers, he spent four seasons at the University of Iowa in several capacities with the women's basketball program, earning four Big Ten conference championships and appearing in two NCAA Division I Tournament national championship games along the way. In his most recent role as a graduate assistant, he oversaw the practice squad and student manager group, advising their scheduling, training, and teaching them opposing team schemes. McIntire contributed to scouting efforts by assembling playbooks and labeling film, and supported recruiting by creating graphics, building itineraries, and coordinating visit logistics. He also engaged with donors, special visitors, and NIL collectives, and collaborated with athletics administration and departments across campus to ensure efficient team operations. Throughout his time with the Hawkeyes, McIntire helped develop seven players who went on to play in the WNBA.

Before his time as a graduate assistant, McIntire served as a student manager for the Hawkeyes, managing equipment needs, filming games, and assisting coaches during various events.

"Will is one of the hardest-working young coaches I've been around," said head coach Raina Harmon. "He has a great basketball mind, builds strong relationships and will be instrumental in helping us shape the identity of this team."

A native of Iowa City, McIntire earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in Sport and Recreation Management from Iowa.
