Pointelin, who competed for the Eagles in 2002-03, spent one season as a graduate assistant coach for FGCU in the 2003-04 season. She assisted the Green and Blue with individual workouts, conditioning, tape exchange, on court coaching of post-players and internal basketball office operations. 

Pointelin received an undergraduate degree in education from the university and, as of the fall of 2003, was working on a master's degree in reading education.
