Was a utility player during his first two seasons, receiving spot starts as needed, but found an everyday role for the Eagles this season at third base … was one of two Eagles to start all 57 games, tied for the 8th most in a single-season in program history … finished the season ranked third on the team with a .330 batting average, coming on especially strong in A-Sun play as he turned in a .355/.432/.474 slash line … totaled career highs with 70 hits, 14 doubles and 37 RBI this season … recorded an on-base percentage of .435, good for second on the team … tied for second on the team with 34 walks … ranked third in the nation with 20 sacrifice bunts – also tied for the second most in a single-season in program history … recorded multiple hits in 23 games this season, including a pair of four consecutive-game streaks from Feb. 22-25 and Apr. 18-25 … turned in a career day vs. UMass as he recorded five hits to go along with four runs, four RBI and three doubles, achieving or matching a career high in each statistic (Apr. 25) … became the second FGCU player, alongside Nick Rivera, to be named A-Sun Player of the Week and the fourth player on the roster to earn a weekly award this season.

Picked up an RBI to tie the game 1-1 against USF (Feb. 18) … Against Manhattan he doubled to right to give the Green and Blue a 2-0 lead (Mar. 7) …drove in two runs in a big win against FAMU (Mar. 15) …drove in a run in back-to-back games for the second time this season to go with his pair of hits at the plate in a walk-off win against FAMU (Mar. 16) …got hit by a pitch with one out to start things off and later scored a run to tie the game at 2-2 in an eventual extra innings loss to Miami (Mar. 19) … In a later meeting against FAMU he would deliver a line drive to center field that scored a run to tie the score (Apr. 2) …he would deliver a sacrifice fly to center to pick up am RBI and push the lead to 5-0 through three against Kennesaw State (Apr. 4) …drew a walk to put pressure on Mercer starter Brandon Barker right out of the gates (Apr. 25) …walked to put runners on first and second for Diaz who doubled to drive in two more runs against ETSU (May 10th) …the sophomore picked up his 15th RBI of the season to extend FGCU's lead to 9-1 in a must win game over Lipscomb in the conference tournament (May 24th)
