SAN ANTONIO, Texas. –  Florida Gulf Coast men's soccer will look to earn back-to-back wins in Texas at 8 p.m. Friday night against Incarnate Word.

The last time out, FGCU scored three unanswered goals to defeat Houston Christian 3-1. All five of the Eagles' shots in the game were on target, marking the first time in program history that every shot taken was on target. 

Brooks Beeman and Flavio D'Angelo each tallied a first half score before Emerson LaOrden added an insurance goal in the second half. Rico Felix assisted both Beeman and LaOrden, and now is tied for the conference lead on the season with three assists across the last two games. Beeman, LaOrden and Aron Martinez all have a trio of goals for FGCU across the 2026 campaign.

The Eagles clamped down defensively after a red card in the 61st minute, led by Eduard Garcia in the net, and did not concede a goal in the final 30 minutes for the 3-1 win. Garcia's eight saves are tied for the ninth most in a game in program history. 

Houston Christian took 15 shots to FGCU's five in Wednesday's contest. It was the first time since Sept. 8, 2018, when the Eagles defeated Georgia Southern 2-0, that FGCU has won a game with a -10 or greater shot differential. 

Incarnate Word enters at 1-3-1 on the campaign, with a win over Our Lady of the Lake University and a draw against UMass Lowell. Diego Robles has scored twice for UIW and Danny Elizalde has a pair of assists. Charles Chimezie has played all 450 minutes for the Cardinals, and Victor Salmeron is 1-1 in goal with seven saves.
