FORT MYERS, Fla.- The Florida Gulf Coast Eagles will put their home unbeaten streak on the line Saturday afternoon at Pickering Field as they host the High Point Panthers in a 4 p.m. kickoff to wrap up the 2026 nonconference portion of their schedule.

Both teams were picked atop their respective conferences in the preseason coaches poll, FGCU in the ASUN and High Point in the Big South. The Eagles are off to a 2-1-3 start and are unbeaten at home with three draws thus far while the Panthers have stumbled out of the gates at just 1-5-1 and are winless on the road at 0-2-1.

After a slow start offensively, the Eagles have found their offense during their recent four game unbeaten streak, netting 12 goals in wins over Southern and LSU and in-state draws with FIU and FAU. The Eagles are the only team in the ASUN with seven different goal scorers this season and are also the only team with more than two players with multiple goals on the season. Sarah Greiner leads the league with 17 shots this season and is tied for the ASUN lead with nine shots on goal.

The Eagles had a number of firsts in their back and forth affair with FAU on Sunday. Lexie Bennett scored the Eagles' first two goals of the game, marking her first career multi-goal effort. Taylor Latini assisted on both of Bennett's tallies, giving her her first assists in the Green and Blue. Last, but not least was Ryanne Robinson's 78^th minute equalizer, marking the 2025 All-Conference selection's first goal as an Eagle.

High Point has struggled through the first month of their 2026 season, netting just one win through their first seven contests. The back end has been an issue for the Panthers as they have allowed 91 shots through seven games, 13 of those ending in the back of the net. Sabba Haghgoo has been the Panthers top offensive weapon thus far, leading the team in goals (4), shots (19), and shots on goal (10) through their first seven games.

The meeting will be just the second all-time between the Eagles and Panthers with their only other date coming during the 2023 season in North Carolina which resulted in a 1-1 draw.

Kickoff Saturday is set for 4 p.m. at Pickering Field with the game set to stream on ESPN+. The FGCU men will play afterwards against North Florida in the back end of the doubleheader set to begin at 7 p.m.
