DeLAND, Fla. -- After 17 lead changes and 10 tie scores, the FGCU women's basketball team earned its fourth-straight Atlantic Sun Regular Season Championship in dramatic fashion with a 74-73 win at Stetson Saturday afternoon. Stephanie Haas sank two free throws with 0.2 seconds on the clock in overtime to give FGCU the win. With the victory, the Eagles improve to 23-7 on the season with a 17-1 mark in conference action, while the Hatters fall to 24-6 overall and 16-2 in A-Sun play. The Eagles secure home-court advantage through the Atlantic Sun Championship with a no. 1 seed.

DeLAND, Fla. -- The FGCU sand volleyball team continued the 2014 season with the Stetson Pairs Tournament Saturday at the Stetson Sand Courts. The Eagles saw a strong performance from Kaitlin Holm (Fort Myers, Fla./Fort Myers High School) and Whitney Masters (Muncie, Ind./Wahahani High School), who reached the consolation bracket final in the top division of the tournament.

The Lady Bisons produced two walk-off wins to defeat the Eagles during their first weekend of conference action. The Eagles fell 6-4 in seven innings in game one before dropping game two 4-5 in eight innings. FGCU falls to 12-10-1 on the season with a 0-2 mark in conference, while Lipscomb improves to 19-3 and 4-1 in A-Sun play.
