With the wins, the Eagles improve to 27-21-1 on the season with an even 10-10 mark in Atlantic Sun action, while the Ospreys fall to 25-21 and 9-14 in conference play.

The rubber match and final game of the series will take place tomorrow at Noon.

ESTERO, Fla. -- Despite a valiant effort in the second match of the day, the FGCU sand volleyball team dropped two matches at the Atlantic Sun Championship Friday at the Estero Community Park. The no. 5 Eagles fell to no. 4 Mercer to open the tournament and concluded their season with a loss cross-state rival Stetson.

Tonight's FGCU baseball (24-14, 9-3 Atlantic Sun) game at Swanson Stadium vs. North Florida (16-21, 6-9 A-Sun) has been postponed until tomorrow at 11 a.m. due to inclement weather. Should the weather remain clear following the 11 a.m. game, a second will be played in order to put the three-game series set to conclude on Saturday back on schedule.

Redeeming its early exit from last year’s Atlantic Sun Championship, the FGCU women’s tennis team used an early lead and dominant singles play to storm past Lipscomb, 4-0, simultaneously capturing the Eagles’ eighth all-time win over the Lady Bisons and second trip to the A-Sun Championship semifinal.
