FORT MYERS, Fla. - Florida Gulf Coast University women's golf head coach Shannon Sykora has unveiled the 2026-27 schedule, headlined by a trip halfway around the world to Japan and a slate of tournaments stretching across five states.
 
The lineup features 10 regular-season tournaments, with five in the fall and five in the spring, before the Eagles chase an ASUN championship in April. Six of FGCU's 10 events this season will take place right here in Florida.
 
"We have a great opportunity to visit and play against some of the best teams in the country," Sykora said.
 
FGCU brings back a young trio in Sydney Deal, Anne Yost and Gia Culler-Guerra, giving the Eagles a solid foundation as they build toward another run at the ASUN crown. In addition, coach Skykora added junior Ann Burel, and a trio of freshmen in Sarah Hyten, Charlene Lamb, and Veronika Niklin to round out this season's roster.
FGCU kicks off the season in unforgettable fashion with a trip across the Pacific to compete in the Pan-Pacific UGSL Tournament Sept. 2-4 in Shizuoka, Japan. The Eagles then head to Greenville, S.C., for the Lady Paladin Invitational, hosted by Furman, Sept. 18-20. FGCU tied for fifth at last year's event, with then-Eagle Jordan Fischer (now a member of the Epson Tour) tying for second individually.
 
FGCU travels north later that month for the Fighting Irish Classic, hosted by Notre Dame, Sept. 26-27 in Notre Dame, Ind., before heading to Tulsa, Okla., Oct. 19-20 for the Route 66 Invitational Honoring Dale McNamara. Deal paced the Eagles at last year's event with a tie for 11th. The fall schedule wraps up at the Pat Bradley Invitational, hosted by FIU, Oct. 26-27 in Miami.
 
The Eagles return to action Feb. 1-3 at the UCF Challenge, hosted by UCF in Orlando, Fla., before heading to Jacksonville, Fla., for the Momentum Transportation UNF Collegiate, hosted by UNF, Feb. 22-23. FGCU placed second at last year's event, with then-Eagle Leonie Wulfers capturing the individual championship.
 
On March 6-7, FGCU travels to Gainesville, Fla., for the Gator Invitational, hosted by Florida. The Eagles remain in-state for the Florida State Match Up, hosted by FSU, March 20-21 in Tallahassee, Fla., before closing out the regular season at the Coach Mo Classic, hosted by Furman and UNF, March 29-30 in Jacksonville, Fla.
 
FGCU then turns its attention to the ASUN Women's Golf Championship, set for April 11-13 in Dothan, Ala. The Eagles tied for second at last year's championship in Dothan, with then-Eagle Amelie Alcantara earning All-Tournament Team honors after a third-place individual finish, with Deal following close behind, finishing sixth.
