FGCU game against Central Arkansas in ASUN Tournament postponed to Thursday

Third-seeded Eagles to face sixth-seeded Bears at 9 a.m. on May 21

DELAND, Fla. – Inclement weather has struck its ugly head as an unwelcome guest at the Atlantic Sun Conference Baseball Tournament. Lightning and heavy rain in the DeLand area has pushed Florida Gulf Coast's opening game in the tournament to 9 a.m. on Thursday, May 21.

The winner will advance to face No. 2 seed Lipscomb at 5 p.m. later that day.

Weather initially struck midway through the first of two games scheduled to be played on Wednesday, with No. 4 seed North Alabama leading No. 5 seed Jacksonville, 5-0, in the top of the fifth. That game is expected to resume at 8 p.m. on Wednesday night, pushing FGCU's game to Thursday morning.

All games during the 2026 ASUN Tournament will be broadcast live on ESPN+. FGCU earned the No. 3 seed after finishing the year with a 34-20 (17-12 ASUN) record. No. 6 seed UCA, which defeated host and No. 8 seed Stetson on Tuesday, advanced to face the Eagles.
