FORT MYERS, Fla. – Tuesday morning will feature a double-take of Eagles versus Buccaneers as both FGCU's men's and women's tennis teams will host former Atlantic Sun Conference foe East Tennessee State at the FGCU Tennis Complex.
Both matches are scheduled to start at 10 a.m. Live stats will be available for both the
women's match and the
men's match. On Thursday, the women's team will host Harvard at 10 a.m. with
live stats also available.
For the FGCU women (12-4), the Eagles continue a seven-match homestand that will wrap up the regular season. The women began that homestand with wins over Cleveland State (7-0) and Liberty (5-2) and look to defend an 11-1 home record this season. The 75
th-ranked ETSU (10-2) women's team heads to Fort Myers riding a nine-match winning streak. Over a week ago the Bucs beat a Liberty team, 4-3, that FGCU recently defeated 5-2.
Florida Gulf Coast's women's team will also host Harvard this week, the lone opponent for the Eagles over the final five matches of regular season that is not ranked. The Crimson (8-5) bring a four-match win streak to Fort Myers, a streak that includes their lone road win of the year with a 4-0 decision on Feb. 22 at Memphis.
On the men's side, the 68
th-ranked Bucs (12-3) are the second ranked team to visit Fort Myers this season. ETSU is riding a 12-match winning streak and hasn't lost since a 4-0 decision at No. 1 Wake Forest on Jan. 11. Their only two other losses came two days prior, falling 6-1 and then 5-2 in a doubleheader at Tennessee.
FGCU's men's squad also is in their final stretch of the regular season, with home matches against Delaware (Mar. 24) and North Florida (Mar. 27) before wrapping up the regular season at South Florida (Apr. 3) and at Stetson (Apr. 11).
Florida Gulf Coast will host the 2026 ASUN Men's and Women's Tennis Championship at the FGCU Tennis Complex on Apr. 14-18.
