Eagles Honor Seniors in Weekend Dual Meets Against North Florida

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Florida Gulf Coast University swimming and diving returns home this weekend to host North Florida for a pair of dual meets Friday and Saturday at the FGCU Aquatics Complex. Friday's meet is scheduled for a 4 p.m. start, followed by a noon meet on Saturday, which will serve as Senior Day.

The Eagles are coming off a dominant road performance last Saturday at the Doral Aquatic Center in Miami, where FGCU earned a 178-121 dual meet victory over Florida International. FGCU claimed wins across multiple events, pulling away early to secure the overall team win.

Friday's event lineup will include the 400 medley relay, 50 butterfly, 50 breast, 1650 freestyle, 50 back, 50 free, 400 individual medley and the 400 free relay. Saturday's schedule features the 200 medley relay, 1000 freestyle, 200 free, 100 back, 100 breast, 200 butterfly, 50 free, 100 free, 200 back, 200 breast, 500 free, 100 butterfly, 200 individual medley and the 200 free relay.

Senior Day festivities on Saturday will honor Mia Burke, Jordan Durocher, Nadia Helm, Lily Magda and Libby Russum. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to take part in the ceremony.

Following the weekend, FGCU will turn its attention to the ASUN Swimming and Diving Championships, scheduled for Feb. 18-21 in Orlando.
