MIAMI – The Florida Gulf Coast University women's golf team wrapped up the Pat Bradley Invitational on Tuesday afternoon, finishing in fifth place as a team. The event was hosted by Florida International University at Trump National Doral Miami and featured 12 teams from around the country.
Amelie Alcantara led the way for the Eagles, shooting four-over for a three-round total of 220 to land in eighth place.
Lousiane Gauthier ended up at seven-over, giving FGCU two individuals inside the top 20. Alcantara became the third different FGCU player to lead the team in scoring this fall.
Gia Culler-Guerra came away with a score over 10-over in her collegiate debut, good enough for 26th, while
Leonie Wulfers rounded out FGCU's scoring at 20-over and 50th overall. Freshman
Anne Yost, competing only as an individual, shot six-over with six birdies over the two-day event.
As a team, the Eagles produced 31 birdies over the three rounds, highlighted by an even ten from Alcantara. A senior from Ocala, Alcantara birdied eight different holes, including a par-four 15th hole and a par-five 18th hole twice each.

The Eagles return to the course on October 13, when they open the Dale McNamara Invitational in Tulsa. The event will be the team's final fall tournament before turning focus to the spring season.
