AS A FRESHMAN AT ECKERD (2022-23)
Alcantara spent her freshman campaign with the Tritons, leading her squad with a 73.08 round average over 26 rounds of play ... At the time of her official signing, she ranked No. 9 nationally among Division II golfers ... Alcantara was named to the All-Sunshine State Conference squad and qualified as an individual for the NCAA Division II Championship South Regional, becoming the first player in program history to be selected to compete in the NCAA Tournament ... In regionals, she went on to finish 11th and qualified for nationals in Eureka, Mo. ... At the NCAA Championship, Alcantara continued to shine by placing sixth, and was tabbed Women's Golf Coaches (WGCA) All-Region and First Team All-American ... She posted two wins and three top-finishes as a freshman, including winning her first ever collegiate event ... She took home the hardware at the Invite at Innisbrook event, finishing at 2-under ... In her following event, Alcantara opened with a season-low 65 en route to placing second ... She also tied for first at the Golden Knights Invitational to help propel the Tritons to its second team title of the season ... Her second-round 68 sparked a 4-under par finish in the 36-hole tournament.
