Women's basketball signs three more future Eagles

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast University women's basketball and head coach Raina Harmon signed an additional three future Eagles to the 2025-26 roster. Offensive playmaker Shameir Quimby from Miami Dade College, sharpshooter Airah Lavy from Saint Francis University and a Lakewood High School rebound product in Mikayla Paschal. Quimby, Lavy and Paschal have their sights set on maintaining the championship pedigree.

Shameir Quimby (Miami Dade College)
5-8 Guard
Fort Walton, Fla.

Quimby is a five-foot-eight guard from Fort Walton, Florida, who spent her first two seasons of her collegiate career with the Miami Dade County Sharks (NJCAA). The WBCA Two-Year College Coaches' All-America Honorable Mention has now signed with the Eagles. Quimby averaged 19.3 points, 8.1 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game a season ago, experiencing no sophomore slump. She started every game her freshman year and averaged 21.8 points and shot 47.1 percent from the field.

During her sophomore campaign, Quimby dropped a season-high 32 points against Daytona State College. She scored 25 or more points seven times and led all Sharks in the FCSAA DI Quarterfinal matchup with 23 points against Chipola College, adding 11 rebounds to her stat line that game.

She also emerged as a threat on the glass by averaging 8.1 rebounds. Last season, Quimby pulled down a season-high 20 boards against St. Petersburg College and tallied 10 or more rebounds in 11 contests. Qumiby scored 1,252 points in her two-year career with the Sharks and averaged 20.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.4 steals per game in over 61 appearances.

Airah Lavy (Saint Francis University)
5-10 Guard 
Nelsonville, Ohio

Lavy is a five-foot-10 guard from Nelsonville, Ohio. She made 29 appearances as a freshman for Saint Francis, earning five starts and averaging 17.2 minutes on the floor. Despite just averaging 6.8 points per game, the sharpshooter drained a team-high 58 threes for the Red Flash, which played a key role into Saint Francis' winning conference record in 2025.

Lavy nearly shot 40 percent from downtown, shooting 39.7 percent from long range. She made at least one three in 22 games, including against Power 4 opponent Maryland, and hit four or more triples nine times. She surpassed double figures 10 times with a season high and game-high 19 points against Robert Morris by knocking down five of her seven trifectas in the win.

In high school, Lavy emerged as a two-time TVC-Ohio Conference Player of the Year and, two-time District 13 Player of the Year. She also earned two All-Southeast Ohio First Team and All-Ohio Special Mention honors. Lavy is Nelsonville-York's all-time career leading scorer with 1,659 points and 233 three-pointers. She holds the school and state single-game record with nine treys.

Mikayla Paschal (Lakewood High School)
5-11 Forward
Largo Fla.

Paschal is a five-foot-eleven product of Lakewood High School and Largo, Florida. Paschal averaged 11.7 points and 5.0 rebounds per game her senior season and scored 1,359 points in her career. Paschal reached 1,000 points by her junior season. She ranked No. 1 in rebounds and No. 2 in points in the county. Paschal is a four-time All-County Selection and was named the 2023 Player of the Year (PHMG). In the classroom, Pascal is an honor roll student and her father played football at Iowa, who went on to play in the NFL for the Eagles and Ravens.
