FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast University women's basketball head coach Raina Harmon announced the signing of Jalei O'Neal from Eastern Florida State College.

O'Neal becomes the sixth addition of the Harmon era, joining Anasia Staton (Towson), Sinai Douglas (Michigan State), Shameir Quimby (Miami Dade College), Airah Lavy (Saint Francis University) and Mikayla Paschal (Lakewood High School).

2024-25 starter Cerina Rolle (returned from portal), Karina Gordon, Jordan Campbell, Maca Retamales (returned from portal) and Anna Mortag mark the returners members for Harmon.

A 5-foot-11 forward from Orlando, O'Neal is a product of Colonial High School and spent her freshman collegiate season with the Titans of Eastern Florida State College (NJCAA Division I). Eastern Florida finished the season 22-9, including a 15-3 record in conference play and climbed as high as No. 19 in the national rankings.

O'Neal made her first start 10 games into the season and went on to start in 27 of her 31 appearances, averaging 24.5 minutes per game. O'Neal posted 10.7 points per game and shot 49.8 percent from the field, improving to 11.3 points per game in conference play en route to All-Citrus Conference Team honors.

The freshman scored in double figures 19 times, recorded a season-high 22 points at Florida SouthWestern State College and totaled more than 330 points on the year.

O'Neal recorded five or more rebounds in 20 games, including a season-best 11. She averaged 5.2 rebounds per game and finished the year with more than 160 rebounds and 45 steals.

In the FCSAA quarterfinals, O'Neal scored 15 points and grabbed six rebounds to help lead the Titans to a semifinal round appearance in 2025.
