Florida Gulf Coast University men's tennis fell in the semifinals of the Atlantic Sun Conference tournament to Stetson 4-3 today.
Stetson took the doubles point but
Guglielmo Stefanacci and
Pablo Paternostro won on their court to complete a 10-0 season.
Singles action started with the Hatters winning on court five before Johnathan Baron secured the first point of the match for the Eagles, four and three.
Pablo Paternostro would bring the score level at two after winning on his court 0-6, 6-3, 6-4. The next two courts would be split with Stetson winning on one and Stefanacci securing the three set win 6-3, 4-6, 6-2.
The match came down to court six where ASUN All-Freshman team member
CJ Smith was in his third set. The match went to a breaker which Stetson took 7-1 to secure the 4-3 win.
