HUNTSVILLE, Ala. —
Siyabonga Mokgothu led the Florida Gulf Coast University men's cross country team with a personal-best time of 31:14 in the 10K at the NCAA Division I South Regionals.
Mokgothu's time now ranks as the fifth-fastest in FGCU history and earned him 61st place.
The Eagles scored 549 points and finished 21st among 27 teams in a field that included six SEC programs and three schools from the ACC. Alabama claimed the team title with 37 points.
Innocent Ntwali posted a time of 32:48 to place 125th.
Nekhi Perry followed closely behind, stopping the clock in 32:49 for 127th place.
Hector Toro ran a lifetime best of 32:54 to finish 131st, and
Evan Casterline rounded out the five competitors for the Green & Blue with a time of 33:19, placing 144th out of 192 runners.
