Meet concludes spring season for FGCU

ATLANTA – FGCU distance runner Innocent Ntwali posted his third career top-eight finish as FGCU competed at the Georgia Tech Invitational late Friday night in Atlanta.

Starting in the seventh position, he dropped to as low as 14th just 2,600 meters into the race. Around the 3,000-meter mark, Ntwali made his move and began climbing the ranks. He jumped up to ninth place at the 4,600-meter mark and in the final 400 meters, Ntwali ran 1:04.31 to jump three spots as he finished sixth.

Also in the men's race, Evan Casterline finished 18th with a time of 15:04.56 and Jacob Leon ran 15:19.86 to place 29th.

On the women's side, Addison Torres registered a 17th-place finish as she ran the 5K in 18:08.69 and Tess Schultz clocked 18:54.41to finish 36th.
