FORT MYERS, Fla. - The Florida Gulf Coast University men's tennis team closes out its fall season by hosting the Pelican Bay Collegiate Invitational this Friday and Saturday (Nov. 14-15) at the Pelican Bay Community Center in Naples, Fla.. The Eagles will go up against the Barry Buccaneers and the Boston College Eagles.
Coming off a great outing at the Bonita Bay Collegiate Open, the Eagles aim to finish the fall season on a high note. At the Bonita Bay Collegiate Open, FGCU was highlighted by dominant singles and doubles play. Against Drake, the Eagles rolled with straight-set wins from
Hugo Magnusson and
Mika Bunjes, a three-set battle won by
Pablo Paternostro, and convincing victories from
Harry Michalowski,
Stefan Correa,
Jonathan Baron,
Gustav Hasslegren, and
CJ Smith, while sweeping all eight doubles matches. Magnusson and
