FORT MYERS, Fla. — Florida Gulf Coast University volleyball hits the road for two Atlantic Sun Conference battles this weekend. The Eagles will first head to University of Central Arkansas (7-7, 4-0 ASUN) Friday for a 7 p.m. EST. start time before visiting University of North Alabama (8-9. 2-2 ASUN) Sunday for a 1 p.m. match.
Both FGCU and UCA are 4-0 in the conference. The Eagles lead 3-2 in the series and delivered a 3-1 victory over the Sugar Bears on Oct.20. 2024 in Fort Myers. Against the Lions the Green & Blue is undefeated eight times. FGCU won 3-1 in its last meeting in Fort Myers last October.
Central Arkansas is coming off a 3-2 victory at Jacksonville Saturday while the Lions fell 3-0 versus Jacksonville Saturday. FGCU delivered a thriller 3-2 victory Tuesday, swept West Georgia Friday and won 3-1 versus Queens (N.C.)
