MIAMI, Fla. - Members of the Florida Gulf Coast University swimming and diving team traveled to Miami, Florida, on Friday to compete in the FIU Classic. After a strong opening on day one, the Eagles are currently in first place with 250 points.

LOCATION: Doral Aquatic Center (Miami, Fla.)
- In the 1m dive, Alexandra Andueza was victorious with a score of 293.50. With her score, Andueza becomes the team's first post season qualifer of the season.
- In the 400 medley relay, the group of Izzy Ackley, Cassie Bauer, Libby Russum, and Leah Gentry-Tuney took first with a time of 3:43.48.
- Jasmin Kroll placed first in the 200 free with a time of 1:53.37.
- Jordan Durocher finished second in the 400 IM with a time of 4:31.52.
- With a time of 56.44, Ackley touched third in the 100 fly.
- In the 50 free, Russum secured first and set a new meet time with 23.29.
- Gentry-Tuney placed second in the 100 breast with a time of 1:04.13.
- Ackley was victorious in the 100 back, setting a new meet record with her time of 54.05.
- The group of Kroll, Russum, Mia Burke, and Nadia Helm finished second in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:34.17.

The Eagles are back in action tomorrow, October 4th, at 10 a.m. for day two of the FIU Classic.
