FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast University's women's tennis fell 4-0 versus Florida Atlantic University Friday afternoon at the FGCU Tennis Complex.

Courtney Vernon. "They are an extremely tough nationally ranked team and the ladies will learn a lot from competing today."
The Owls (3-0) won the doubles point to start the match with a 1-0 advantage.

Gabriela Macias fell on court No. 4.
Anjali Kotecha was the only Eagle to win a set in singles action, producing a 6-2 score in the first and was tied at 1-1 before the match was retired.
The Green and Blue (3-3) will next host South Florida (0-3) on Friday, Feb. 7 with a 1 p.m. start time.
