Freshman Brett Moore finished tied for fifth Monday as Florida Gulf Coast University men's golf placed third at the Rod Myers Invitational in Durham, North Carolina.
"I'm really proud of our team," head coach Andrew Danna said. "We started a little slow today but were able to get a solid finish out of the week. Our team continues to learn and grow each week. We are looking forward to a home game in two weeks."
Moore tied for 47th at his first-ever collegiate tournament last Tuesday. Nearly a week later, the freshman found his footing in Durham, shooting a 70, 71 and 69 for a six-under-par performance, tying for fifth.
